Where are you from?
Germaine was born in Singapore, but is currently staying in Perth. She went to Eunoia JC before moving to Australia to study psychology, fine arts and history of art at the University of Western Australia.
What do you like doing for fun?
Germaine loves going to the beach for a swim or to a nice park for a picnic. She also enjoys reading books and spending time in nature.
How did you get started?
Germaine has been doing art since she was a kid, and took it as a subject in school. Over time, she lost her passion for art as a hobby and began to focus on it primarily as an academic pursuit, studying it for both her O and A Levels. However, after moving to Perth and studying arts at university, her relationship with art shifted. She rediscovered her voice through her art and began to enjoy creating again. Germaine has since grown to love experimentation and the moulding of forms, allowing stories to emerge naturally within her artworks.
What kind of art do you do/like?
Germaine enjoys working with digital media, including software such as Blender, Procreate, and Photoshop, as well as traditional mediums like painting and pen illustration.
