Where is she from?
Dom is currently a graphic designer-illustrator. She previously studied Fashion Design & Merchandising at Temasek Polytechnic, and a BFA in Design Art from NTU School of Art, Design and Media.
What does she enjoy doing for fun?
Dom enjoys drawing! She generally enjoys creating, so things like baking, crocheting, knitting, and sewing are up her alley, but she doesn’t always have the time to learn how to do all of them well.
How did she get started?
Growing up, drawing was something that Dom always enjoyed. It was a great companion when she was dealing with difficult feelings growing up, and even now she still feels that art does things that words sometimes cannot fully express. Dom had to put her artistic interests aside for a while when she was in school, but it was a journey of reconnecting with an artistic streak in her, allowing herself to explore and giving herself the space to flourish!
What kind of art does she like/do?
Dom loves using bright colours and humour in her work, as she feels that it is the truest extension of her inner world. The types of art she consumes on social media range in terms of art style and subject matter, but the common thread you’d see in what she follows are usually bright colours and some sort of humour.
